You would work on the product medical students actually use: the flows around practice sessions, the dashboard, the account experience, and the tooling we use to check that grading is any good.
This is a real internship, not a shadowing exercise. Your work goes to production. It also gets reviewed line by line, and you should expect to be asked why you did something before it merges.
What you would work on
- Front-end features in React and Tailwind — flows, forms, states nobody thought about, the empty and error cases that make software feel finished.
- Data work against Postgres through Supabase, including the row-level security policies that decide who can read what.
- Small internal tools: scripts and views that let us look at how grading is behaving across many sessions.
- Accessibility and polish. Keyboard navigation, focus states, and copy that says what it means.
You probably fit if
- You are comfortable with JavaScript and the basics of React, and you can use git without fear.
- You debug rather than guess: you read the error, then the source, then the docs.
- You have built something, however small, that a person other than you has used.
- You notice when the spacing is wrong by four pixels, and it bothers you.
- You write clearly in English — most of the work is explaining decisions.
What we do not expect
- Professional experience, or a computer-science degree.
- Backend or AI experience. Curiosity about how the model side works is plenty.
- A polished CV. A link to something you made counts for far more here.
What you get
- Code review on everything you write, from someone who will explain the reasoning.
- Your work in production, in front of students preparing for a real exam.
- A reference that describes what you actually built, and the work itself to show.
How hiring works
- A short intro chat (Semi-technical).
