We collect the following categories of information:

• Account information — your name, email address, and the details you provide during sign-up and onboarding (such as your institution or level of study).
• Practice data — the conversations you hold with the simulated patient, the cases you attempt, your scores, and the feedback generated for each session.
• Usage data — pages you visit, features you use, approximate device and browser information, and timestamps, collected to operate and improve the service.
• Communications — messages you send us through contact or support forms.

We use your information to:

• Provide the core service — run practice sessions, score your conversations against the OSCE checklist, and show your progress over time.
• Maintain and secure your account and authenticate you when you sign in.
• Improve the product, fix problems, and develop new features.
• Respond to your questions and provide support.

We do not sell your personal information.

To simulate the patient and to score your history-taking, the text of your practice conversations is sent to third-party AI providers for processing. These providers process the conversation in order to return a response or a score and act as our processors under contract. We do not send them your name or contact details as part of the scoring request.

Your account and practice data are stored using trusted cloud infrastructure providers (including our database host, Supabase, and our AI processing provider). We share information only with these service providers acting on our behalf, where required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of our users and the public.

We keep your account and practice data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymise your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain it to comply with legal obligations.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below.

Klinico is intended for medical students and other adult learners. It is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Continued use of Klinico after a change means you accept the updated policy.
